Students can track the status of their application in Handshake. However, they won’t receive any notifications if their application is declined.
If an applicant was scheduled for an interview but not selected, they will receive a notification informing them that they are no longer being considered.
The action to remove an applicant from consideration is labeled differently depending on where you are reviewing applications in Handshake.
On the Jobs page: the action is labelled Rejected.
On the Interview page: the action is labelled Declined.
