You may have noticed that, although your colleague is connected to the same company profile that you are, they are seeing different jobs, on campus interviews, applicants, etc. that you are. This is can be due to the permissions assigned with your role or the toggle status of the Favourite Institutions filter.
Role permissions
Each user is assigned a role, and permissions vary with each role. Roles are typically assigned based on the task you perform. Because permissions determine a user’s control in Handshake (meaning the information they can access and the tasks they can perform), there may be a discrepancy between the information displayed to each user. Check out A Guide to Employer Role Types in Handshake.
Favourite Institutions filter
Institution approvals are company-based (meaning if an institution approves your request to connect, the approval will carry over for every user connected to your company's profile). However, each user connected to the company profile has the option to create their own individual Favourite Institutions list.
Each user can also toggle between viewing information from institutions that they've added to their Favourite Institutions list or from every institution that has approved their company. If the Favourite Institutions filter is applied, Handshake will only display information relevant to institutions in their Favourites List.
The Favourites filter affects the data displayed for on-campus interviews and jobs, including applicants. Learn more about Using the Favourites Institution Filter.
