Once a job has been created and saved, the posting page enables you to review in-depth information about the position. This resource will help you become familiar with the options and data available on the job posting page.
Upon creating a new job in Handshake, the posting page will load after saving the job.
Alternatively, you can click directly on the name of your job posting from the Jobs page. For assistance with the Jobs page, refer to Navigating the Jobs Page.
In the upper-right corner of the page, click the grey buttons Edit to access the full job editing mode or More Actions for a dropdown menu of quick actions: Duplicate job, Expire job, Preview job.
There are five tabs that breakdown posting data: Overview, Details, Institutions, Matches, and Applicants.
Note: the "Edit" and "More Actions" buttons remain available regardless of which tab you select!
Overview
The Overview tab provides aggregate posting performance data for Applicants, Job Views, and Reach, as well as helpful recommendations for improving posting performance.
This tab is available for all employers in Handshake, however, only Premium partners have access to Job Views data.
For more information, refer to Job Posting Overview Tab.
Institutions
Click the Institutions tab to review the institutions the posting has been shared with and each institution's posting approval status.
- Recommended Institutions are listed at this top of this tab. Learn more in Institution Network Management: Institution Recommendations.
- Below the recommended institutions section:
- Use the keyword search to search for a requested institution, if many are listed.
- Filter on approval status using the checkbox(es) to the right of the keyword search.
- On the far right of the page, click the blue button Post to more institutions to target more institutions. Learn more in How to Post a Job to Additional Institutions.
In each institution's row, click the three hashmarks to the far right for additional actions (this menu icon looks like a hamburger!):
- View Details - this will display a popup with interaction details regarding the posting, including status, apply start and expiration date, application count, on campus interview status, job posting comment history, and the option to add a new comment.
- View Institution - this will take you to the institution's page in Handshake, where you can review your approval status, institution contact information, and general comment history.
- Expire Job - this will prompt you to expire the posting for this institution only.
Matches
The Matches tab displays candidates from your company's approved institutions, based on your job preferences (or Segments, if you're a Premium employer partner). Filters and actions on this page may vary, depending on your current partnership with Handshake.
For more information, check out Job Matches.
Applicants (count)
The Applicants tab displays a count of all applicants next to the tab name. On this page, use the filters on the left to narrow down the displayed list, and use the filters at the top of the applicants list to narrow down displayed results based on your preferences.
