Employer Role Types: Recruiter (Standard)

By default, all new users are assigned the role of Recruiter (Standard) when they connect with an existing company profile, unless the employer configures otherwise, or they are invited to join with a different role.

Recruiter (Standard) users can manage events and career fairs, jobs, applicants, and on-campus interviews. They can also message candidates. 

We recommend this role type for Recruiters, Recruiting Coordinators, and third party partners who only post jobs or events. 

This role type is available on all company profiles in Handshake, and there's no limit to the number of Recruiter (Standard) seats with a company.

Premium partners can configure most permissions and have additional permission options, depending on the selected modules. Some modules include non-configurable permissions, as detailed below.

The default permissions for all Core and Premium partners with the Recruiter (Standard) role type are:

Permissions with Talent Engagement Suite (TES)

  • Professional Branding

 

Permissions with Event Manager

Permissions enabled for Recruiters when Event Manager is added:

  • Launch Check-in Kiosks
  • Attend 1:1 Schedules (Advanced)
  • Manage 1:1 Schedules (Advanced)

 

Permissions with Institution Explorer

Permissions available for Recruiters when Institution Explorer is added:

  • Institution Explorer
