When logging into Handshake as a student, if you receive a notice that your account is disabled or blocked, you will need to contact your career services in order reactivate or unblock your account.
Archived accounts
If your account has been archived, you will see this message when you log into your account:
If this is the case, you will be able to submit a request to reactivate the account, which goes directly to your Career Services.
Blocked accounts
If your account has been blocked, you'll see a message similar to this:
If this is the case, you'll need to contact your Career Services directly. Some reasons why your account may be blocked:
- Late tuition payments or other payments
- Misuse of Handshake
- Student misconduct (not showing up for an on-campus interview, for example)
