How to Launch a Check-in Kiosk

Rob Midson -

Event Kiosk: Opening a kiosk for an event is great way to track which students are attending your events. You can open a kiosk for a specific event and then track how many students are checking in as the event is in progress.

  1. Click Events on the left hand navigation bar
  2. Select the event you are interested in opening a check in Kiosk for by clicking on the title
  3. Scroll down until you see the Actions section
  4. Click Open Check-in Kiosk
    • You will be prompted with the following message. If you are just testing this feature you can select Keep me logged in but if you are going to have this open at the check in station of an event you will want to leave that box unchecked so students and other staff cannot access your account.
  5. Click Launch Kiosk when you are ready to open the kiosk
  6. The name of the event will be listed at the top of the screen and students can use their students ID cards, their email address or their username to sign into the event!
  7. Enter your email address and click Go to check in for this event.

Interview Kiosk: You can open a kiosk for an interview to track who is checking in for the interview. This is a great way to track who is checking in for their interviews so you can follow up with students who did not attend their scheduled time.

  1. Click Interviews on the left hand navigation bar
  2. Select the interview that you are interested in opening the check in kiosk for by clicking on its name
  3. Scroll down until you see the Actions section
  4. Click Open Check-in Kiosk
  5. From here you can follow steps 5-7 from the Event Kiosk steps to finish checking students in for their interview slots.

Appointment Kiosk: The appointment kiosk is used for tracking students who check in for appointments. You can be notified as a career services staff member when a student arrives for an appointment which will reduce waiting room confusion.

  1. Click Check-in Kiosk from the tabs in the top right of the screen.
  2. This will open a general check in kiosk which means that any events or appointments that the student is checked in for will display when they sign in. You can see that there is no event name at the top of this check in kiosk.
