I want to share some exciting changes coming for Handshake’s Implementation guide. In order to ensure a smooth transition to Handshake, our University Success team is in the process of updating the Implementation Guide.
Why are we updating the guide?
With the current guide, we noticed a few key points of confusion. We received constructive feedback around the structure of information and linked resources. As a result, we are excited to incorporate this feedback with the following updates:
- Detailed timelines
- Weekly outcomes
- Tasks, broken down by role
- Recommended training courses
What will the new guide look like?
The new guide will be divided into a standard 8-week implementation timeline, with a specific outcome for each week. Each weekly outcome will consist of career services, IT, and training objectives. We recommended an eight-week timeline to implement Handshake, as that is the window where we see the most success. However, this can be adjusted to meet the needs of your institution.
What is the timeline for this change?
Our team will be starting the updates to this guide Friday, April 13th and it will be completed by Monday, April 23rd.
All of the content in the current implementation guide will be maintained, it will just be reordered and easier to find.
