University Product Announcement - February 14th, 2019
Recently Released
-
Unpublished Reviews Status
- We have introduced a 4th status for both job reviews and interview reviews - unpublished. It’s now visible for Career Services in the reviews search and on the reviews show page itself. This will make it easier for your office to understand which reviews will not be published and will have no impact on students.

-
Q&A on students profile
- Students will now be able to see questions they've posed and answered via Handshake's Q&A feature on their profile pages.
-
Native iOS Profiles
- Handshake is bringing student profiles to our iOS mobile app! Students will now be able to see and edit their profile information from their phones. This is a phased rollout - some students can see the update today and others will see it in the coming weeks. Native Android profiles will follow after this release!
-
Saved Employer Searches
- Handshake will be removing functionality that allows students to save search criteria on the employer search page on Handshake. This was a vastly underutilized function and students will still have the ability to manually apply filters if they so choose. We decided to remove the feature from the employer search page to decrease the amount of visual noise on the page and eliminate functionality that does not meaningfully help students. The ability to save search criteria on the job search page will remain intact!

Native Reviews submission
- Historically, Handshake has relied on email to collect Reviews from students. In the next two weeks, we will begin rolling out an update allowing students to submit a Review directly through their Handshake accounts. The Reviews collection survey was updated last year to more closely mimic an experience survey - several schools have requested this update so that they can use Reviews as a means of collecting work experience data. You'll be able to simply point students to areas within Handshake to submit!
