Advocates assist with creating candidate relationships by participating in events, fairs and live 1:1 sessions or via messaging.
Note: Advocates seats are only available to Handshake Premium partners with Talent Engagement Suite.
This role type is recommended for:
- interns and former interns (that aren't active full-time employees and don't have a company email) to help promote the company and share their experiences with other students in events, fairs, and employer-hosted meetings.
- users outside the customer’s recruiting team, such as ERGs who assist with nurturing relationships with students and helping students understand certain roles or departments in the company.
- users on a recruiting team who don’t handle the day-to-day recruiting activities, but who are involved in the post-application hiring process, e.g., hiring managers.
Tip: from the Teammates page, click the three dots menu to the far right of the Advocate's name, then click Set to public, so that students may view the Advocate's profile and message them.
Access to Handshake consists of both configurable and non-configurable permissions, as detailed below.
