Universities remain in control of student information they provide us, so we manage that information according to your University’s direction. Many Universities maintain student records beyond graduation for internal tracking or alumni service purposes, and our system is built to continue that management as long as the University requires. If a University decides to no longer maintain a student’s records, we will remove that student’s identifying information from our system upon request. Information provided by the student directly to Handshake will persist and continue to be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Note: Archiving an account does not delete the student's information or data. The account still exists in Handshake, but the student cannot login to an archived account.
