We understand that you may want to send emails external to Handshake, announcing your implementation. As such, we've created some examples for you to use below!
Employer Information Email
Subject: [School Name] is Moving to Handshake!
Greetings!
On behalf of [institution name] I'm excited to tell you about our upcoming transition to Handshake — a modern platform for college recruiting. Handshake will replace our current system [System name here] and offer your team many great new features like:
- Managing all your campuses with Handshake at no cost.
- A mobile experience - update your job postings, view applicants, and more all while on the go using Handshake's responsive design.
In the coming weeks, you'll be receiving an invitation from Handshake inviting you to create an account. Signing up is easy and takes less than 5 minutes. Please post any jobs that are open on or after XX/XX/XXXX. Students will be invited into the system shortly thereafter to start applying!

Great News! [School Name] has partnered with Handshake — a modern career development platform — to replace our current [System name here] and will be your one-stop-shop for launching your career.
Handshake offers new features, enabling you to:
- Access personalized job recommendations based on your major and interests
- Register for Career Fairs
- Manage on-campus interviews with top companies
- Schedule appointments with your career counselors
[Office name here] will preload your profile and you'll be able to access your Handshake account beginning on [Student “go live” date].
For those of you that currently have a [old system] profile — HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BEFORE [date].
If you currently have documents (resumes, cover letters, etc.) in your [old system] profile, please log in and save them to your device. Once you've saved your documents, you're welcome to delete them from [old system] and save them to your Handshake profile. Due to the volume of students in the system, we won't be able to transition documents to Handshake. If you have confidential letters of recommendation and would like them to be saved for you for future use, follow these instructions.
Log into your [old system] profile, select “Documents” and review the list of current “Private” documents. Send us an email with a list of documents you'd like saved on your behalf. If you don't give us the names of the documents, we won't be able to save them for you.

- Update your job postings, view applicants, and more all while on the go using Handshake
You'll be getting an invite to login and start recruiting at [School Name] shortly. If you don’t get that email, you can click this [Insert Employer Invite Link] link to signup!
When you sign up, we’ll match your [School Name] email domain with all the [School Name] employers. Please choose your division from this list. Once you join, you'll need to be approved by the person who created that division!
If you aren't able to find your company, please click the Create Employer button! Please use the naming convention [School Name - Division Name]. [Example: ].
