School Settings: How to verify SSO based on a student login

Even though students may be able to login to Handshake the entire process may not be configured correctly. On average 23% of students who are required to go through the “Set Up Single Sign On” workflow do not finish it. This short guide will help make sure that your team is ready to hit the ground running!

Properly configured SSO workflow

Students require no additional configuration and immediately taken to an onboarding workflow after signing into your teams SSO portal.

Students are required to “Set Up Single Sign On” which changes their auth_identifier to match the returned variable from SSO. If all students are seeing this page then it indicates that SSO does not match the uploaded auth_identifiers. Please contact our Support Team for help on configuring SSO and auth_identifiers
