Access plan information
Click your name in the upper-right corner of any page, then select Plan & Billing from the dropdown.
The Plan & Billing page includes:
- The plan name
- Upcoming charges
- The current payment method
- A card for each upgraded job, showing the job title and creation date
View billing history and invoices
To manage billing history or download past invoices, click the Billing details link in the upper-right corner of the Plan & Billing page. You will be redirected to the Stripe portal.
Handshake does not send invoices via email. All billing history can be accessed through Stripe.
Change billing frequency
You can switch between a monthly and yearly Pro subscription at any time.
1. On the Plan & Billing page, click the More options menu (the three dots) in the upper-right corner of the Plan section.
2. Select one of the following:
- Change to a monthly plan - this option is available only if you’re on the yearly plan
- Change to a yearly plan - this option is available only if you’re on the monthly plan
3. In the pop-up modal, confirm your selection, then click Yes, change to monthly or Yes, change to yearly.
4. A confirmation banner will appear on the page, showing your updated billing frequency and subscription details.
Cancel your subscription
If you want to cancel or stop your Pro subscription, you can downgrade to a Basic account.
1. On the Plan & Billing page, click the More options menu (the three dots) in the upper-right corner of the Plan section.
2. Select Downgrade to Basic from the dropdown.
3. In the pop-up modal, click the button Downgrade in the Basic card.
4. Rate your experience with Handshake Pro, select your reason for downgrading, then click the Downgrade button.
5. A confirmation banner will appear on the page, indicating that your plan is scheduled to be downgraded at the end of your current subscription period.
Cancel your Pro trial
Eligible employers are automatically enrolled in a 4-day free trial of Handshake Pro when they post their first job. If the trial is not canceled before it ends, it converts to a paid Pro subscription.
To cancel your Pro trial:
- Log in to Handshake.
- Click your name in the upper-right corner, then select Plan & Billing from the dropdown.
- In the Plan section, click the three-dot menu, then select Downgrade to Basic.
