If you've created an account and requested to connect with the wrong institution, no worries, this can be fixed!
Each institution in Handshake is responsible for approving students to their system.
- If the institution you requested to connect with hasn't approved your request:
- Reach out to the career services centre at the institution you're affiliated with, and let them know you need to connect. We recommend providing them with your Handshake account email address to speed up the process. Once they confirm you are a student/alumni at the institution, they'll be able to add your account to their institution instance in Handshake.
- If the institution you requested to connect with has approved your request:
- Reach out to the career services centre at the institution you're affiliated with, and let them know you need to connect, but were added to another institution in Handshake. We recommend providing them with your Handshake account email address to speed up the process. Your institution will then need to submit a support ticket to our team, and let us know to move your account to their institution instance. The Support team will work on the backend to move your account to the correct institution!
