Handshake sends email notifications for scheduled employer-hosted meetings and virtual chats. These emails are sent to your primary email address in Handshake.
Employer-hosted Meetings
Employer-hosted meetings may be configured as one of three types: Office Hours, Interviews, and Quick Screens. While some of the wording varies, the notifications sent are the same format, regardless of the meeting type.
Employer Invite Notification
When an employer invites you to a specific time, a notification email will be sent to your primary email address with the following details:
- Subject: "You are invited to interview with COMPANY NAME"
- From: Handshake <handshake@notifications.joinhandshake.co.uk>
- Content:
- Header: "You have been invited to an interview"

Employer-hosted meeting canceled by employer
If the recruiter has to cancel the session, a notification email will be sent to your primary email address with the following details:
- Subject: "Your session with COMPANY NAME has been canceled"

Scheduled notifications
Handshake provides two automated reminder emails prior to the scheduled meeting: the first, sent 24 hours in advance, is optional (you may opt into/out of this email in your notification preferences), and the second is sent 15 minutes prior to the start of the interview time.
