Will applicants be notified if they are declined?
Applicants will not receive a notification if their application is declined or rejected from a job posting.
However, if an applicant was scheduled for an interview but not selected, they will receive a notification informing them that they are no longer being considered.
What is the difference between "Rejected" and "Declined"?
The action to remove an applicant from consideration is labeled differently depending on where you are reviewing applications in Handshake.
- On the Jobs page, the action is labeled Rejected.
- On the Interviews page, the action is labeled Declined.
