Handshake Home Feed
The Handshake home feed is an access point or entrance for how content is discovered and consumed by students.
It serves as a discoverability tool that exposes students to various elements of the job search, including:
- Career-related content posted by your institution
-
Career-related content posted by employers
- Only by approved employers at your institution
- Available jobs
- Upcoming events and fairs
- Appointment opportunities
If a student does not meet all the specific qualifications or permissions to access any of the above elements, they will not be available on their home feed.
The range of content posted to the Handshake home feed can extend from a text post, link, or video.
Content displayed on the home feed is unique to each student as it is based on a relevance ranking system on the backend. The relevance of the content is determined by a variety of factors such as the student's major, career interests, location, and graduation year.
