Employers can use labels in Handshake to easily organize and manage groups of candidates.

Add a label
1. Check the box next to each candidate's name you want to label. You can also check the box in the upper-right corner of the table to label all candidates shown.
2. Click the white button More above the candidate panel, then select Manage labels.
3. In the pop-up modal, choose an existing label(s) from the Add labels dropdown, then click the black button Apply.
Note: Applicants cannot view labels that have been added to their profile.
To create a new label, refer to Creating and Managing Labels.
4. After applying the label(s) to the candidate(s), the message "Successfully added label to students. It may take a few minutes for your labels to update." displays in black banner at the top of the page.
Remove a label
1. Check the box next to each candidate's name you want to remove a label(s) from. You can also check the box in the upper-right corner of the table to remove a label from all candidates shown.
2. Click the white button More above the candidate panel, then select Manage labels.
3. In the pop-up modal, click the black button Remove labels, select the label(s) from the dropdown, then click the black button Apply.
4. The message "Successfully removed label from students. It may take a few minutes for your labels to update." displays in a black banner at the top of the page.
Filter applicants by labels
After adding labels to applicants, click the white button Filters to manage your candidates using the Labels or Not Labels filters.
- To view applicants with specific labels, select the label(s) from the Labels filter in the right sidebar.
- To view applicants without specific labels, select the label(s) from the Not Labels filter in the right sidebar.
