Employers can quickly identify and hire the most qualified candidates by allowing applicants to skip the application process and book an interview right away.

Access job
1. Click Jobs from the left navigation bar, then select the job you want to automate interviews for.
2. Click the white button Manage outreach within the banner.
Automate interviews
1. Enable the 'Automatically book interviews with top candidates' feature by clicking the toggle on the right.
2. Enter the URL to your external scheduling tool, such as Calendly, Outlook, or GCal in the Schedule link textbox.
3. Include any reminders you want to send candidates in the Remind Candidates of your must-haves textbox, then click the black button Update job.
- Handshake will remind candidates of these details before they book an interview.
Interview invitations
If you share your calendar directly, the candidate will receive a message, including the invitation to book an interview.
Candidates may click on the job to schedule an interview directly from the job posting card.
The job posting includes a card with the prompt, "You've been selected to book an interview directly with [NAME] at [COMPANY]."
Candidates can click the black button Book interview to skip the application process and book an interview.
Once the candidates click to book an interview, a pop-up modal with the message "[NAME] is inviting a select few candidates to skip straight to the interview. Congrats! Schedule a time to meet and learn more about the role. You don't have to submit an application. We'll add this role to your applications list when you book your interview."
- If you've included candidate must-haves, the reminder will display to the candidate before they book.
Candidates may click the black button Book interview to finalise their interview with your company.
Once the candidate books an interview, they are prompted to answer the following question: "Did you book an interview with [NAME]?"
The candidate can click either Yes or No within the banner to indicate whether they have booked an interview.
- If the students indicates Yes, the banner will update to display the following message:
Manage applicants
Candidates who go to your calendar to book an interview will appear in the Applicants tab of the job posting.
Note: some applicants may indicate they booked an interview but have not. You can follow up with these candidates by messaging them directly through Handshake or by downloading their email addresses.
