When students are searching for jobs, they will now see search suggestions listed underneath their search filters. These suggested searches are comprised of a list of popular keywords curated by a student’s course.
Why is the student seeing these suggested searches?
- We noticed that many students don’t leverage keyword search because they’re not sure exactly what to search for. We analyzed student search behavior and the jobs we have on Handshake to compile a list of the top keywords that can help students explore popular jobs for their course.
- Based on our analysis, students are twice as likely to find jobs they want to apply to when using keyword search.
How can students effectively use these suggested searches?
-
Students can click on any of these suggested search terms to explore jobs with these keywords. They can also apply other filters to narrow their search.
- Please note that suggestions will only appear when a keyword is unspecified.
