Once you’ve finished building your project, the final step is to submit it. Submitting your project is completely optional.
Before you submit
- Complete the Build step first. Work through all of the mission instructions and check off each step.
- Use a desktop browser. Project submission is currently available on desktop only. If you completed the mission on your phone, switch to a computer to submit your project.
Submit your mission
- Once you’ve completed the Build step, Submit project becomes available. You can find it in the mission’s chapter list on the left side of the page.
- Add your project details:
- Project title — The title that will appear on your Handshake profile and in the AI Showcase.
- Description — A short description of what you created.
- Project link — The link to the project you created for the mission.
- Preview image — Optional. Add an image by dragging and dropping it into the upload area.
- Click Submit project.
After you submit, you’ll receive a Project submitted confirmation on the page, along with a tile showing the project you completed. Your project will also appear on your Handshake profile and be shared in the AI Showcase.
Submitting a project also earns you the AI Project Builder badge, which appears on your Handshake profile for students, alumni, and employers to view. When a badge is awarded to you, you’ll receive a congratulations pop-up the first time you visit your profile after it’s added. Badges are a lasting recognition of your accomplishments and remain visible once earned.
