Submit Your Project from a Mission

Once you’ve finished building your project, the final step is to submit it. Submitting your project is completely optional.

Before you submit

  • Complete the Build step first. Work through all of the mission instructions and check off each step.
  • Use a desktop browser. Project submission is currently available on desktop only. If you completed the mission on your phone, switch to a computer to submit your project.

Submit your mission

  1. Once you’ve completed the Build step, the Submit Project option will become available. This allows you to share what you created on your profile. You’ll find it in the mission’s chapter list on the left side of the page.
  2. Add your project details:
    • Project title — The title that will appear on your Handshake profile and in the AI Showcase.
    • Project link — The link to the project you created for the mission.
    • Preview image — Optional. Add an image by dragging and dropping it into the upload area.
    • Description — A short description of what you created

  3. Choose whether to submit your project to the AI Showcase:

    • Leave the box unchecked to add your project to your Handshake profile only.

    • Check the box to add your project to your profile and submit it to the AI Showcase. You can learn more about the AI Showcase on Handshake in AI Showcase in Handshake.

Note: If you submit your project to your profile only, you can still submit it to the AI Showcase later, but you’ll need to complete a separate Showcase submission.

 4. Click Submit project.

After you submit, you’ll see a Project submitted confirmation on the page, along with a tile showing your completed project. Your project will appear on your Handshake profile. If you selected the AI Showcase option, it will also be submitted to the AI Showcase.

Submitting a project also earns you the AI Project Builder badge, which appears on your Handshake profile for students, alumni, and employers to view. When a badge is awarded to you, you’ll receive a congratulations pop-up the first time you visit your profile after it’s added. Badges are a lasting recognition of your accomplishments and remain visible once earned.
