How to Search for a Career Fair

Use this resource to explore upcoming career fairs on Handshake and locate specific fairs your company has attended. 

Permissions

If the Fairs option does not appear in the left navigation bar, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

• Role or permissions: Your current role may not include permission to view or manage fairs. 

  • To view and manage fairs, request the appropriate role or permissions from your company’s Owner or Admin.
    • Not sure who that is? Refer to Who is the Owner of My Company’s Profile?.
    • If the owner is no longer active, contact our Support team for assistance.

Search for a career fair 

1. Click Fairs from the left navigation bar. 

2. Use the filters and search bar on the left side of the page to refine your results:

• Keyword search: Search by institution name or fair title.

• Show Favourite Institutions Only: View fairs hosted by your favourite institutions.

• Show Followed Only: View fairs from institutions you follow.

• Location: Filter by geographic location and adjust the mile radius.

• Institution: Filter by a specific institution.

• Location Type: Choose between in-person or virtual fairs.

• Include Past Fairs: Show fairs your company registered for previously.

• Show Registered Only: Show only fairs your company is already registered for.

• Show Open for Registration: Show fairs that are currently open for registration.

• Date: Filter by a specific date range.

Note: Fairs you’ve already registered for display a status such as Approved Registration or Pending Registration to the right of the fair’s name.

From the institution's homepage

When viewing an institution’s homepage on Handshake, scroll to the Upcoming Career Fairs section.

• For more information on any of the career fairs displayed, click on its name.
• To view a list of all upcoming career fairs posted by the institution, click the View all Upcoming Career Fairs link.
