We recommend fully filling out your profile to optimise outcomes in Handshake. To review and update your profile, click My Profile from the left navigation bar in Handshake.

Upload a Profile Picture
Adding a profile picture can help students feel more comfortable getting in touch. To add a profile picture, click the green button Add a photo on the left of the page.
You can also click the pencil icon to the immediate right of the button (or your photo, once it's added) to upload a new picture or edit the existing one.
Add Work Experience
Add your work experience to showcase your career journey. In the work experience section, click the green button Add, to the right in the section.
Fill in the relevant details, then click Save to add the work experience:
- Title
- Employer
- Job Function
- Time Period (Start date and End date or check "I currently work here")
- Description
- Location
Add External Links
External links are free text fields, so you can add your LinkedIn profile, dedicated website, etc. Click the green button Add to the far right in the section, add the details (Name, External URL, Description) then click Save to add the external link.
