These tags are designed to enhance your job search experience on the platform. They offer additional context to help you prioritize particular job postings and improve your understanding of why certain jobs are showing up in your search outcomes.
Available tags in Handshake
- Top Match: highlights jobs that you are most suited for, based on your qualifications. This tag is only shown to the top 15% of candidates. It is intended to help you identify jobs that match your skills and qualifications.
- Recommended for You: draws attention to jobs that align with your interests. This tag personalizes your job search experience by highlighting opportunities that match your career goals and interests.
- Be an early applicant: highlights jobs that you would be among the first to apply. This tag serves as a direct call to action, emphasizing the advantage of being early in the application process.
- Responsive Employer: means the employer responds to messages within 48 hours and has responded to at least 10 messages in the past. This tag lets you know the employer is actively engaged on the platform and will likely reply to any questions or inquiries you may have!
- Job Closes Soon: alerts you that the job will close within 7 days, ensuring you don't miss out on opportunities that are about to expire.
- Promoted: indicates that the job has been given extra visibility in your search results. Employers who are actively hiring for a position may choose to promote a job. If the job is not relevant or does not match your search, you will not be shown the job, even if it is promoted. Only jobs that would usually appear in your search are displayed.
- Career Center Collections: highlights certain jobs and employers that your school's career services department has chosen to feature.
