As the owner of your company profile on Handshake, you can transfer ownership to any teammate connected to the profile.
This feature is available to on-campus employers and Plus, Pro, Essentials, and Enterprise (formerly TES) customers only. For more information, please check out this resource!
If you are an on-campus employer and are not able to transfer ownership, confirm that your account has been designated as an on-campus employer by your company profile Owner.
Without this designation, the transfer ownership feature will not be available. For more information, visit Identifying as an On-Campus Employer on Handshake.
Request ownership
Handshake does not support submitting ownership requests directly within the platform. To request ownership, contact the current owner of the company profile directly to ask for an ownership transfer.

Contact Support to request assistance with an ownership transfer if the current owner is no longer active.
Transfer ownership
Only the current owner can initiate an ownership transfer. To transfer ownership to another teammate, follow the steps below.
1. Click on your name in the upper-right corner of any page, then select Teammates from the dropdown.
2. Click the ellipsis icon (three dots) to the right of the name of the teammate you want to transfer ownership to, then click Transfer ownership from the dropdown.
3. To confirm the transfer of ownership, select the teammate again from the drop-down list in the pop-up modal, then click the red button Transfer Ownership.
- The selected teammate will automatically become the owner.
