In some cases, you may be asked to sign in using a one-time code instead of your password. This helps keep your account secure and only takes a minute to complete.
What the login page shows
When this happens, the login page will show:
- A message stating you can't log in with this password right now and that you should use a one-time code to sign in instead.
- An option to send a one-time code to your email address.
- The password field, which will no longer let you continue with password.
This is a normal part of keeping your account secure. Your account has not been locked, and you have not lost access to Handshake.
How to sign in when this happens
- On the login screen, confirm the email address shown is correct. If it's not, select Edit to update it.
- Click Send one-time code.
- Check your email for the code and enter it to complete sign-in.
