Handshake has consolidated its EMEA platform into a single global platform. If you previously used Handshake's EMEA-specific platform, your account is now part of this global platform.
Your day-to-day experience won't change. You'll continue to sign in the same way and use Handshake as you always have.
What's different after the migration
Your Student/Alumni account, along with your profile data, was migrated and is now accessible at app.joinhandshake.com (previously Handshake US). Historical activity was not able to be carried over, but we encourage you to explore the newly expanded network and opportunities available in our Global platform!
- Peer messages: If you previously messaged with a student or alumnus, you should be able to locate them on the platform and re-start the conversation, refer to Peer Messaging in Handshake for more information.
- Employer messages: Some employers may have different representatives from the previous platform, but you can find the relevant contact information on the employer’s brand page. Learn more in Messaging Employers in Handshake.
- Applications: One change you may notice is more international opportunities in your job search. Depending on your preferences and activity, you may have access to roles from countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, or France. Opportunities in your primary market will still be prioritized, with international roles appearing when they're relevant to your interests. - Followers and Feed: Follow employers and other early talent users to access their updates in your Feed, and share your own posts to connect with the Handshake community. Learn more in Following Users on Handshake and Posting Content to the Handshake Feed.
- Your personal data continues to be protected under the same privacy standards outlined in Handshake Infrastructure & Data Update.
