Your personal information includes details such as your name, pronouns, location, and any links you'd like to feature on your profile.
During the account setup process, you're prompted to provide details. If you previously skipped this step or want to update any of this information, follow the steps below to make changes!
1. Click your account icon in the upper-right corner of Handshake, then click My Profile from the dropdown.
2. From your profile, click the button Edit located on the left side of the page.
Missing the Share button located to the left of Edit? This means your profile isn't set to public and cannot be discovered outside of Handshake. To learn more about making your profile public and sharing it, check out How to Make Your Profile Public and Share Your Profile Link.
3. Within the pop-up that appears, you can add/edit the following fields:

- Only include links to projects or portfolios you wish to showcase—links to other profile pages will not be accepted.
- Important: The links added here are only visible to people who access your profile through a direct profile link (for example, if your profile is set to public and viewed by someone who is not on Handshake). If you want employers on Handshake to have access to your links when they view your profile, be sure to include them in the Summary or Projects section instead. Learn more in Completing your Profile in Handshake.
