Your Handshake profile serves as a key component of your digital identity, showcasing your skills, experiences, and interests. With the new Public Profiles feature, you can share your profile with potential employers, recruiters, mentors, and peers—whether they’re on Handshake or not.
What is a Public Profile?
A Public Profile is a version of your Handshake profile that can be viewed by anyone, even if they don’t have a Handshake account. This feature is designed to help you:
- Connect with employers and recruiters through email or other external channels.
- Get advice from mentors, alumni, or professionals who may not be on Handshake.
- Showcase your work experience and interests by displaying your projects and organizations in a rich, multimedia format.
- Diversify your digital presence, providing you with more visibility and networking opportunities.
Once you've made your profile public and shareable, you can distribute it via email, messages, or social media to broaden your reach.

Ways to share your profile
Now that you have your public profile link, there are several ways you can share it to boost your visibility and connect with others:
- Email: Paste your profile link directly into the body of an email. This is a great way to share your profile with recruiters, potential mentors, or anyone you'd like to connect with professionally.
- Social Media: Post your public profile link on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, or any other platform where you engage with your network. It’s a way to showcase your skills and experience to a broader audience.
- Resume or Portfolio: Include your Handshake profile link on your resume or portfolio. This makes it easy for hiring managers, potential employers, or collaborators to view your profile and learn more about your accomplishments.
- Networking events: Whether you're attending in-person or virtual events, sharing your profile link can help others learn more about you. For in-person events, can include it on your resume or a business card.
