|For what reasons would I flag or tag an employer?
|If you suspect any fraud, abuse, or violation of Handshake terms of service from an employer, you should flag a user/job/employer.
|If you suspect an employer doesn't line up with your institution's moral/ethical/legal standards, a tag will be submitted for review upon declining the employer.
|Where do I flag or tag an employer?
|On the Employer page, under contact information. Refer to Flagging an employer or job
|Employers are automatically tagged when their request to connect is declined for a specific reason (excluding "Other") Refer to Generating Employer Tags
|Who has access to the flag or tag details?
|Your institution can access the specific flag and reason, but employers only have access to the type of flag if they are suspended as a result of the flag
|Employer tags are displayed for all educational institutions on an employer, but the employer cannot access their own tags (or other employers' tags)
|Is the flag or tag reviewed by Trust and Safety?
|Yes, every flag is reviewed by our Trust and Safety team.
|Only moderated tags are reviewed. Refer to Moderated Employer Tags
|What happens after Trust and Safety reviews the flag or tag?
If a flag is not confirmed, the Trust and Safety team will follow up with the user that submitted the flag to inform them.
If the flag is confirmed and the user/job/company is suspended, all active staff members from the institution that submitted the flag will be notified. Read more about configuring outcome notifications here Outcome notifications
If the tag is not confirmed, the tag will not be added to their company profile.
If the tag is confirmed, it will be added to the company profile.
Regardless of tag confirmation, the company will stay declined. Refer to Moderated Employer Tags
