After creating an event in Handshake or being approved for an in-person fair registration, you can invite teammates to access Handshake’s Event App on their mobile devices.
The app allows teammates to view upcoming events, access past events, track candidates they've met, search student profiles, and submit evaluations for candidates they've engaged with.
This feature is available to Premium partners with the Handshake Events module enabled. For more information, please check out this resource!

Access Handshake Events setup
From the Event or Fairs Details page in Handshake, click the Handshake Events setup tab.

Add Employees attending
Click the Employees attending text field to open a dropdown list of teammates in your company with a Handshake account.
To add teammates from the list, click on their name. Once added, their names will appear below the search box.
If the teammate doesn't have a Handshake account, click the white button + Create new employee account, then add the following information in the pop-up modal.
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Phone number
Once the fields are completed, click the blue button Create in the lower-right corner of the pop-up modal.
Note: After an account is created, an email is sent to the new user with a link to confirm their account, set their password, and log in.
- To remove a teammate that was selected, click on the X, located to the right of the name.
Add Evaluation criteria
Add up to five criteria for your employees to use when evaluating students.
Click the Criteria text field to open a dropdown list of options, then select your desired criteria.
- Relevant modules
- Relevant work experience
- Relevant course
- Seeking full-time job
- Seeking internship
- Qualifying graduation date
- Relevant skills
You can also create a custom evaluation option by typing it into the text field, then clicking on the hyperlinked text.
- To remove an evaluation, click the X to the right of the evaluation you want to remove.
Complete setup
Once everything is added, click the blue button Save in the upper-right corner of the section.
