If your institution has been invited to another institution's fair in Handshake, use the resources here to co-host the fair! As co-host, you can use Handshake tools to encourage student registration, view registered employers, and download your student attendee data.
Refer to Managing Multi-Institution Fairs in Handshake instead if you are hosting the fair.
Once your institution has been invited to another institution's fair, the fair will be listed in the Fairs page (viewable by clicking Fairs from the left navigation bar in Handshake). Click the name of the shared fair to load the fair's overview page.
The host institution's designated fair contact is listed to the left of this page, including their Name, Title, Email Address, and Phone.
From the overview page, the number of approved employer registrations is listed toward the upper-middle. To view registered employers, click the green View Employers button, or click Employer List from the Actions menu.
- Note: pending and declined registrations will not be visible to co-hosts. Only approved employer registrations.
Best Practice: make sure that all attending employers have been approved at your institution to ensure that students attending the fair have a great experience! Employers must be approved at your institution in order to message or otherwise followup with students in Handshake attending their sessions.
Co-hosts have access to an Actions menu on the left of the fair overview page, with similar options to the host institution, however, each of the student-based actions will only include your institution's students!
These are the available actions you have as a co-host and some corresponding how-to articles:
- Invite Students
- Email Student Attendees
- Student Preview Page (check out the fair from a student perspective)
- Employer Preview Page (check out the fair from an employer's perspective)
- Employer List (view registered employers)
- Pin Item
- Download My Institution Attendees
Note: if you were invited to another school's career fair, and you do not want to participate, there is not a way to decline the invitation, you will need to contact the school to be uninvited.
