If you would like to sort, track, or report on student Experiences in Handshake by an employer label, you can do so by adding an employer label directly to an Experience!

Adding employer labels to Experiences
You can add the employer label individually or in bulk.
To do this, click Experiences from the left navigation bar. This will load your Experiences overview page.
By default, you will be brought to the Pending tab within the page. Select the tab in which you would like to filter on to add the label: In Progress, Needs Review, Approved, Completed, Declined, or All.
From here, you can add labels to Experiences individually or in bulk.
Adding an employer label to an individual Experience
Once on the desired tab, use the filters on the left side to identify which Experience should have the employer label added.
Click the Experience you would like to add the label to. On the right side of the Experience Overview page, locate the Labels section.
Click the dropdown to choose an already existing label or type in the Choose a label box to search for a label at your institution. If there is not already an employer label created, click the + Create button to create one, located on the right of the page.
- Adding an existing label: If you choose a label from the dropdown, the label will be applied to the Experience immediately.
- Creating a new label: after you click the + Create button, in the popup that appears, enter the following information, then click the blue Save button:
- Label: Type in the name of the employer label you would like create.
- Used For: select the best choice for items this label may be used on. If you only want this new label to be used on Experiences, select Experiences.
- Type: Seen by staff only or Seen by staff and students (Public).
- Once the label is saved, the label will be applied directly to the experience.
Adding an employer label to multiple Experiences in bulk
Once on the desired tab, use the filters on the left side to identify which Experiences should have the employer label added.
- Once you've checked one Experience, you can click Select All from the table's header bar to check all Experiences.
- If you would like to check specific Experience's only, click the box next to all the Experiences you would like to add the employer label to.
Once the Experiences are selected, click the Add Label option on the header bar.
In the pop-up that appears, click the Choose existing label dropdown to choose an already existing label or type in the box to search for a label at your Institution.
If there is not already an employer label created, click in the Create a new label box to type in the name of the new employer label. This will create a new employer label.
To apply the label to all the selected Experiences in bulk, click Apply Label.
Downloading a report using the employer label
1. To download a report using the employer label, select the tab in which you would like to report on: In Progress, Needs Review, Approved, Completed, Declined, or All.
2. On the left of the page under the Filters, scroll towards the bottom and locate the Label section. Click the down arrow to expand. Choose the employer label you would like to filter on, or type in the + Add Label box to search for a label at your Institution.
3. Once the employer label has been applied as a filter, check the box next to one of the Experiences, and then click Select All from the header bar to check all Experiences with the label.
4. Click the More drop-down from the header bar to Download Student CSV or an Approval CSV report.
The download will be prepared for you immediately to view and an email will be sent to you with the download.
If you would like to download a Student CSV or Approval CSV for Mid-Term Evaluation or Final Evaluation only, click the drop-down for that specific category on the header bar and then click the report you would like to download.

Bulk Actions using an employer label
Once you've identified the desired Experience type; In Progress, Needs Review, Approved, Completed, Declined, or All, you'll be able to complete some actions in bulk using the employer label.
1. To start, use the Filters section on the left side to choose the employer label you would like to use. Scroll towards the bottom and locate the Label section. Click the down arrow to expand. Choose the employer label you would like to filter on, or type in the + Add Label box to search for a label at your Institution.
2. Once the employer label is added, put a checkmark next to the Experiences you would like to submit an action for.
If you would like to select all, check one of the Experiences, and then you can click the Select All option to check all Experiences within the employer label.
3. Once the Experiences are selected, click on the More drop-down to choose the action you would like to perform using the employer label:
- Mark as Completed: This will mark all Experiences as completed
- Add Label: This will apply an additional label to the Experiences
- Remove Label: This will remove the existing label from the Experiences
- Send Email to All Reviewers: This will send a bulk email to all Reviewers
- Send Email to Reviewers (Approval): This will send a bulk email to the Experiences Approval Reviewers
- Send Email to Reviewers (Evaluation): This will send a bulk email to the Experiences Evaluation Reviewers
- Send Email to Students: This will send a bulk email to all students
