If you registered for a student account but intended to create an employer account, you can create a new employer account instead.
There is not a way to convert a student account to an employer account. To access the correct account type, create a new account by following the instructions below.
1. Log out of your student account.
Remaining logged in will result in the error: “You do not have permission to do that. Please contact the Handshake team or your local administrator.”
Note: If you realize during registration that you selected the wrong account type and can’t return to the previous page, complete the registration process first. Once your account is created, log out.
2. Create your employer account using the same email address.
