Refer to this article when logging into Handshake for the first time!
If you do not have a Career Services staff account yet, you'll need to work with your institution's POC or someone with the access and permission to create new staff accounts.
- Career Services staff accounts may only be created by either your institution's Handshake POC or someone with the Staff Management permission. The step-by-step process to create a staff account is available in Creating New Staff Accounts.
How to login to Handshake for the first time as a Career Services Staff Member
- Go to your school's Handshake login page

Type your university email address into the Employers & Career Centers section and select Next
3. Select Get Started to have a verification email sent to your email inbox
4. You will immediately receive the "Almost there!" message. Check your email inbox to locate the email to set your password for your Handshake account.
5. Open the email and select the Set my password hyperlink
6. You will be asked to enter a new password and confirm the password
7. Success! Your password is set and now you can select Sign in
8. Enter your password once more and select Log in to login.
How to login using a one-time link
- Go to your school's Handshake login page
- Enter your email in the Enter Email field

Select the Email one-time password button

Check your inbox for the one-time password. If you still haven't received the email after an hour, try again or reach out to our Support Team for additional assistance.
Insert the one-time password code when prompted.
5. After you've inserted the code, click Continue and you'll be logged in!
