If you believe you don’t have access to school-specific offerings on Handshake, your account may not be connected to your school’s Handshake instance.
To unlock your school’s full range of content and services on Handshake, your account must be linked to your school.
After confirming your email address, if you only have access to sections like Feed, Events, and Profile—but not Career Center—this likely means your account isn’t connected to a school or was created without selecting one
School Not Linked
If you requested to connect with a school, you can check the status of your request by clicking your account icon in the upper-right corner of the page, then selecting School Connections from the dropdown. If your request is still pending, you’ll have the message:
"Request sent! Hang tight while the school reviews it."
To follow up, click the Email the school link under Having issues?
If no contact information is listed, you can either reach out to your school’s Career Services (You can typically find contact info on the school website) or by contacting our Support team.
