Handshake provides tools to help you measure how employers engage with your school, similar to the existing Student Engagement Tracker.
For information on tracking student engagement, refer to Insights: Student Engagement Tracker & Reporting.
What employer engagement reporting shows you
Employer engagement reports help answer questions such as:
- Which areas of Handshake do employers use the most?
- How can you increase employer job postings, applicants, or fair attendance?
- Which employers are the most relevant to feature in collections for your students?
Get started with the Employer Engagement Dashboard
These resources are an early-stage starting point for employer engagement reporting and may change over time.
Download the Employer Engagement Reporting Dashboard 2026.xlsx file (600 KB) located at the bottom of the page. The file contains:
- A Directions tab with setup steps
- An Employer List tab, where you build your employer list and populate lookup formulas that pull in each employer's activity counts
- Six touchpoint tabs for pasting downloaded report results: Approved & Expired Postings, Job Applications, Career Fair Registrations, Events, Interview Schedules, and First Destination Responses
Follow the Directions tab to populate the Employer List and touchpoint tabs. When downloading each report from Handshake, select "Download all possible results" to capture every record.
Build individual reports for these topics
You can also create individual reports in Insights to track employer engagement instead of using the full dashboard.
