Access Job Matches
Click Jobs from the left navigation bar, select the job you want to view matches for, then click the Matches tab.
Explore Job Matches
The Matches tab displays all active, public student profiles from schools where your job is posted and approved.
Matches are determined based on:
- The job's qualifications
- Candidates' educational details and interests
Top matches
The Top matches section highlights candidates who most closely align with your job's qualifications and are likely to respond to outreach. This list updates daily, ensuring you always see the most relevant candidates.
Top matches are displayed only for jobs that specify candidate qualifications, such as:
- Major
- Graduation date
- School year
- If your job does not include candidate qualifications, you will be prompted to add them.
Handshake uses the education details provided by students on their profiles to match them with your job posting. This includes:
- Current educational goals (degree type, major, graduation year)
- Past education details (completed degrees and majors)
Example:
If your job requires candidates with a BA in Business, the results may include candidates who have completed a B.A. in Business and are currently pursuing a higher degree, such as a Master’s.
