Introducing Omni Insights
This is a major update! We added a new reporting tool to improve reporting capabilities to all of our EDU partners. Some new features include:
- Create your own dashboards: In the past, we created dashboards that were available for use to anyone with specific permissions. Those dashboards will still remain available, but you can also turn any report you create into a dashboard and update it later as well!
- Organize your reports in an embded folder database: Your institution will have their own unique folder system. Similar to saving a file on your computer, you can choose where to save reports and organize your work in a way that makes the most sense to you and your colleagues.
- Optional AI assistance when building a report: You can ask AI to clarify certain terms and reporting functions. You can even ask AI to start building a report for you by sharing the dimensions and measures you would like to have included in the report. You can also choose not to use AI and just build a report out manually!
- Manage multiple tabs in one workbook: Using Insights, you can create multiple queries (reports) in one central workbook. Using this feature gives you the chance to easily jump between multiple different topics and compare the data is a seamless flow.
- Send reports and alerts on a scheduled basis: Similar to Analytics, reports can be sent by setting up a schedule and the formats for sending a report include Email, Amazon S3, SFTP, and Webhook. Omni also allows for alerts to be scheduled so recipients will be informed whenever a certain condition is met in regards to a query or dashboard. For example, if the results for a query have changed since the alert had been set up, recipients will be informed about that!
For now, Analytics will still be available. If you have reports you wish to transfer over to New Analytics, now is the time to do so. We will plan to remove Analytics on August 10th, 2026 so we recommend taking the time to compare the two tools to one another so you can become comfortable with New Analytics.

The new Share button
This new addition provides a way to quickly generate a shareable URL, directing the recipient to the report viewable on-screen at that time, regardless of report status. This means the link can be used for an unsaved report (either an unsaved new report or existing report with unsaved changes) without requiring you to save the report.
For more information, refer to Analytics: Sharing Reports.
Scheduled Reports
Scheduled Reports enable Career Services users to more easily share data with campus stakeholders and external platforms. Reports can be sent to your email address or a secure cloud file storage on the frequency of your choosing. Reports can be in a number of formats –– image, PDF, CSV –– to minimize the need for post-processing. This means you can create a report and then “set and forget”—Handshake will deliver the report for you.
For more information, refer to Analytics: Scheduled Reports.

Analytics Redesign
The Analytics overview page has been updated to align with the same style used in other areas of Handshake (Appointments, Jobs, Employers).
On the overview page, saved reports are displayed with each of the below columns:

- Report Type: The report template type chosen for the saved report.
- School: The school or institution that created the report.
- Author: The individual that built the report.
- Favorite: To indicate if you have favorited the report. Favorited report stars will be highlighted.
You’ll be able to filter the displayed saved reports using the filters on the left of the screen:
- Keyword search: keywords search report names, school names, and authors
- Visibility: Choose reports visible to all Career Services users, only other users at your school or institution, or only visible to you
- Report type: The report template type used to create the report.
- School: School or institution the report came from.
Saved Reports
We are so excited for this release! You are now able to save your reports either for yourself, for your colleagues, or the entire Handshake school network.

Data Definitions
The existing Insights Data Dictionary has been added to Insights within Handshake, so each field definition is available by clicking the "i" next to the field name. You can read more on that in Analytics: Data Definitions.
Merged Reports
We've released several updates to three report templates (Career Services Staff, Students, Employers) within Analytics, which are referred to as Merged Reports. For more information, refer to Analytics: Merged Reports.
