If a check-in kiosk was previously deactivated, you can reactivate it to collect student information for virtual events.
This feature is available to Premium partners with the Handshake Events module enabled. For more information, please check out this resource.
Activate the kiosk
1. Click Events from the left navigation bar, then select the event you want to activate the kiosk for.
2. On the event page, click the Kiosk setup tab, then navigate to the Check-in kiosk section.

3. In the Check-in kiosk section, click the ellipsis icon in the upper-right corner of the page, then select Activate kiosk for students from the dropdown.
4. Click the ellipsis icon again to select from any of the available options:

Deactivate kiosk for students
- If selected, the kiosk will be deactivated.
Virtual event check-in process
For virtual events with an active kiosk, the kiosk will be shown to students when they click the Join Video button.
- This kiosk will be set live for students to check in automatically 30 minutes before the event’s start time.
- The check-in kiosk will remain live throughout the duration of the event up to 30 minutes after its end time.
- Students will be sent to the Web Host URL after checking in.
