Handshake will always provide you with a list of applicants (if you choose to collect applications in Handshake) or a list of candidates who clicked the link to your external job posting (if you chose to direct candidates to your ATS to apply).
For an overview of managing applicants, check out the Job Applicant Management Guide.
To review applications, first select the relevant Job or Interview to access the list of applicants, then navigate to the Applicants page.
- For jobs, click the Applicants tab from the job overview page.
- For on campus interviews:
- click the person icon with a number next to it from the interviews page
- or click on Review Applicants from the interview overview page
- click the person icon with a number next to it from the interviews page
In the list of applicants, click on the applicant name to be taken to the applicant's profile.
Click on the application status for a dropdown menu of other statuses - click on the desired status to update the application. For status considerations, check out Managing Applicant Status.
The Date column represents the date the application was created.
Preferences
In the Preferences column, if you have set preferences, the number of preferences the candidate meets will be indicated as "X of Y". If the candidate meets all selected preferences, a green circle with a check will appear to the right of the numbers.
Hover over the indicated value for details on which preferences the candidate meets and doesn't meet.
