Career Centre Collections at your Institution

If you'd like to explore employers and jobs that your institution has chosen to highlight via one or more of the curated categories, you can do so via:

• Desktop
• Mobile app

Desktop

Click Career Centre on the left navigation menu. 

Locate your institution's Career Centre Collections section, then click on a category of interest or the blue link View all collections to explore all! 

• If a category is chosen, you're directed to the specific category page you clicked on.
• If 'View all collections' is chosen, you're directed to the Career Centre Collections page  — This page displays tiles for each category your institution has curated and customised. Click a category of interest to be directed to the specific category page.

Once a category is chosen, and you're on the specific category page, there's two tabs at the top: Jobs and Employers.

Click on a tab to view either the jobs or employers added to the specific category you've selected.

Note: jobs and employers are displayed as tiles on the page. Click on the job name from the jobs tab to be brought to the job posting in Handshake, or the employer name from the employers tab to be brought to the employer page in Handshake.

To view other categories, click the link Back to collections, located in the upper-left corner of the page. This will bring you back to the main Career Centre Collections page.

Tip: to stay updated on any recent activity regarding an employer, choose to Follow them in Handshake. To learn more about following employers in Handshake, refer to Following an Employer in Handshake.

Mobile app

Tap on your icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, then tap Career Centre.

Tap Career Centre Collections from the menu, then scroll to choose a category of interest from the list. All employers and jobs within that category are listed on the screen! 

Once a category is chosen, and you're on the specific category page, there's two tabs at the top: Jobs and Employers.

Tap on a tab to view either the jobs or employers added to the category you've selected.

Note: jobs and employers are displayed as tiles on the page. Click on the job name from the jobs tab to be brought to the job posting in Handshake, or the employer name from the employers tab to be brought to the employer page in Handshake.

If you're interested in exploring jobs or internships curated by your institution and added to a Career Centre collection, you can filter by the desired category within your job search!

Note: categories available on the job search page are limited. To view all categories your career centre has created, you'll need to view via the Career Centre collections page.

Desktop

There's two ways to access your institution collections via the Jobs page. Click Jobs on the left navigation menu, then click:

• The white button [INSTITUTION] collections, located to the right of the search bar. Check the box to access Jobs in any collection or select a specific category via the dropdown, then click the blue button Show Results. Alternatively, click the link View all to be directed to your institution's Career Centre collections page.

• The white button All filters, located at the far right of the header bar. Within the pop-up, scroll down to locate the [INSTITUTION] collections section and check the box to access Jobs in any collection and or select a specific category via the dropdown, then click the blue button Show Results. Alternatively, click the link View all to be directed to your institution's Career Collections page.

All jobs that include at least one of the chosen collections will be listed on the left side of the page.

Career Centre collections at your institution can be identified by a grey badge — You can find these badges in Handshake on the job list during your search, the jobs details page, and employer profiles.

• Job list - badges are located below the job title for easy recognition.

• Job details page - badges are located midway down the page under the section "About the employer". 

💡Note: up to three badges may be displayed at a time. If the employer or job is a part of more than three institution collections, a plus sign badge is present. Hover over the plus sign badge to discover other collections the employer is a part of!
