If your school uses Handshake’s appointment feature, you can view upcoming appointments and review past appointments from the Appointments tab.

1. Click Career Center in the left navigation menu, then select Appointments from your Career Center page.
2. The appointments page displays your upcoming and past appointments, along with their current statuses. Upcoming appointments appear at the top, followed by past appointments. If you have multiple appointments, the most recent appointment appears first.
- Requested: Your appointment request is waiting for a response from your Career Center. Keep an eye out for an Approved or Declined status and notification. Depending on your notification preferences, you may receive notifications in-app, by email, or via push notification. Learn more about your notification preferences in Managing Your Notification Preferences.
- Approved: Your appointment was approved and is on schedule.
- Declined: Your appointment has been declined–you can reach out to the career center and request a new time or discuss the reason it was declined.
3. Click an appointment to open its appointment details page. If you have questions or follow-up items, you can add them in the Comments section then click the send arrow to send.
Tip: To add the appointment to your calendar, click Add to calendar. To cancel the appointment, click Cancel appointment on the appointment details page.
Missing the Career Center option on the left navigation bar?
Here are a few possible reasons:
- School not linked: If you've requested to connect with a school, check your status by clicking your profile icon, then School Connections. If it says "Pending," your school still needs to approve your request.
- No school on account: If you registered without selecting a school, features like the Career Center won’t be available. To connect, click your profile icon, then School Connections. Find your school and request to join.
- School not on Handshake (yet!): If your school isn’t a partner, encourage your career center to join so you can access more features.
