Handshake's home feed is a feature that transforms Handshake from a job search tool to a comprehensive career destination. It's designed to help you launch your career by providing you with relevant content, social interactions, and assistive features.
Whether you're looking for a job now or planning for your long-term career development, the home feed offers an enjoyable experience that lets you access content whenever and wherever you want!

Access Handshake home feed
To access the home feed, and interact with a wide range of content, log into your Handshake account via desktop or your mobile device.
Desktop
On your desktop, click Feed, located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Mobile Device
On your mobile device, tap Feed, located in the lower-left corner of the screen.

Engage with content in Handshake's home feed
By utilizing the home feed, you can engage with your institution and employers, fostering a sense of connection and community.
To react to a post, choose the following:
- Heart icon to "like" posts
- Bookmark icon to "save" jobs, events, and posts
- Three dots to either "hide" or "report" content, or "unfollow" a user
- User or employer's name to be directed to their profile in Handshake
- The plus sign on a users icon to follow them

Comment on a post
To comment on a post, select the message bubble located below the post — this will open the related thread.
Type your comment in the text box, then click the button Comment.
Access your saved posts
Saving posts allows you to revisit important or interesting content from the feed. All posts that have been saved by clicking the bookmark icon can be accessed via desktop later.
This is particularly useful for posts that contain valuable information such as job opportunities, career advice, or educational resources.
On your desktop, click Feed on the navigation menu, then click the tab Saved in the upper-center of the screen.
