Handshake has consolidated its EMEA platform into a single global platform. Unlike student and alumni accounts, EMEA employer accounts were not migrated and are not automatically part of the global network.
If you previously recruited on Handshake's EMEA platform, you'll need to re-create your employer account on the global platform to continue using Handshake.
What's different for employers
Moving to the global platform requires a few additional setup steps. We understand this may take a little extra time, but once you're set up, you'll have access to a broader network of talent and the same hiring tools on the global platform.
- Create a new employer company profile: If your company doesn't already have a company profile on the global platform, you'll need to create one. For step-by-step instructions, refer to How to Create a New Company Profile.
- Create your employer user account: If you need to create a user account and connect it to your new employer account, check out How to Create an Employer Account on Handshake.
- Historical activity: Job postings, candidate messages, saved candidates, and other activity from your previous EMEA account won't be carried over to the new global account.
-
Access to a global talent pool: Once your account is set up, you can post jobs and connect with students and alumni across Handshake's global network, expanding your reach beyond the former EMEA platform. Learn how to post a job in How to Post a Job.
- Note: Your new global account gives you access to more candidates and universities. To target specific schools, select “Post to specific schools or use a school list” when posting a job. You can choose schools individually or create and use a preferred school list. Learn more in Creating and Managing School Lists.
- Your data continues to be protected under the same privacy standards outlined in Handshake Infrastructure & Data Update.
