The Overview tab provides aggregate performance data for applications, job views, and reach, as well as recommendations to improve your job's performance.
Features available only to Premium partners are indicated by an asterisk (*). For more information, please check out this resource.
Access the job posting overview tab
1. Click Jobs from the left navigation bar, then select the job you want to review.
2. The Overview tab loads by default.
Explore the Overview tab
The Overview tab is available for all postings, for all employers. The data is divided into three sections: Applicants, *Job Views, and Reach.
Applicants
The Applicants section displays insight for your posting's applicants. A recommendation to improve posting performance may appear on the right side of the section. Click the linked text in the modal to take action.
Below the Applicants heading are three tiles with counts for Total, Matching, and Invited to apply. Click a tile to review the relevant applicants.
The graph below the tiles shows the number of applications received over the past 30 days: green for total applicants, blue for matching applicants, and purple for invited applicants.
- Hover over the graph to review application counts per day.
- Click View table data below the graph to view the data in list format.
- If no one has applied yet, this section displays "No applicants yet." You can take action by clicking one of the options listed:
- Invite your matches to apply
- View recommended schools to add to this job
*Job Views
Job Views is available to the following users:
- Employers on an Essentials or Enterprise (formerly TES) account with the role of Advocate, Recruiter (Advanced), Recruiter (Sourcer), Admin, or Owner

Pro employers who have promoted a job
- Note: Job views will be available for promoted jobs only.
The Job Views section displays two tiles: Total (all time) and Invited to apply.
Below the tiles is a graph of job views per day for the last 30 days.
- Hover over a day to see total views (in green) and views from invites (in purple).
- Click View table data below the graph to view the data in list format.
If no one has viewed the job yet, this section displays "No views yet." Click Try Inviting Matches to apply to help increase job views. Learn more about Job Matches.
Reach
Reach provides the total count and percentage of students on Handshake who have access to your posting, broken down by Total and Matching.
Below the heading are tiles for Total and Matching. Click the Matching tile to access the Matches tab.
Below the tiles is a donut graph showing total reach and matching reach.

Total: The total number of early talent with Handshake accounts at schools where this job is approved.
- Click View all schools you posted to to review schools or post the job to additional schools.

Matching: The total number of early talent in your total reach who also match all qualifications.
- Click View matches to review your matches.
