On Handshake, you can obtain approval from institutions by posting your job to the institutions you want to recruit from, or by contacting each institution of interest directly and asking for approval.
Approval process
Institutions partnered with Handshake are responsible for approving or declining employer requests to connect, and each has different guidelines when choosing which jobs and employers to approve.
To connect with a institution(s) and perform recruiting activities, you can either:
- Post a job to the institution(s) you want to recruit from.
- Learn How to Post a Job.
- Contact the institution(s) directly and ask to be approved if you do not have a job to post.
Your request(s) will remain in a pending state until the institution(s) determines whether to approve or decline it. Learn more About "Pending" Status at an Institution and How to Check This Status.
Once your company or job is approved at an institution, you can post events, search for, and message students at that institution.
Note: you can search for and register for a career fair without connecting with an institutions or posting a job.
