Handshake’s Activation Email Campaigns helps supplement your team’s marketing efforts. The campaign targets unactivated community and technical college students to encourage them to log into Handshake for the first time.
With messaging honed over the last two years, these emails have historically yielded student engagement 3-4x above industry averages. Last fall, over 230,000 students logged into Handshake for the first time as a result of receiving these emails.
If a student activates their Handshake account during the campaign, they will stop receiving activation emails.
Fall 2020 Timeline
The campaign itself consists of 2 emails sent 7 days apart. Any unactivated students will get emails on the following cadence:
- Email 1: Week 1 — October 8-12, 2020
- Email 2: Week 2 — 7 days after receiving Email 1
If a student activates their Handshake account during the campaign, they will stop receiving activation emails.
We will run additional activation campaigns in future semesters to include future students.
