As with in-person fairs, a series of notification emails are generated for students after they register for a virtual fair. All emails are sent from "mail.joinhandshake.com". Students who have not registered for the virtual fair will not receive these emails.
Handshake sends a "just in time" email to help drive more students to your virtual fairs if the system detects very low student signups for employer sessions. The goal is to ensure that employers have students to meet with at the fair, providing them with a positive experience. The email is sent the day before the fair if less than 50% of available employer session slots have been taken. The potential audience for this email is activated, undergraduate students whose actions in Handshake (the companies they follow, the career interests they've shared, etc) suggest they might be interested in one or more employer sessions at the fair. The email will call those sessions out.
Note: We will not send the "just in time" email for invite only events. If you have set qualifications for your virtual fair, our system will respect those qualifications when choosing the students to suggest the fair to.
Notification Emails—Registered Students
When you invite students via the virtual fair page
If you click the "Invite Students" tab on a virtual fair, you can trigger an invite email to students based on criteria like school year, major, and labels. It will include any custom student language (added when creating your fair) in the About section.
When a student registers for a fair
Subject: "All set! You're registered for [fair name]"
Note: If you've included a custom message for students, that will appear as a section titled "A note from your school".
To registered students, reminder 2 days in advance of the fair
Subject: "Two days away! Get ready for [fair name]"
To registered students, reminder day of the fair
Subject: "Today is [fair name] - get ready!"
Notification sent upon employer cancellation of 1:1 session
Subject: "Session Canceled: 1:1 with [employee name]"

Subject: "Your group session with [Company Name] has been cancelled"
