Handshake is committed to building an accessible product, as well as an ongoing, sustainable process for maintaining accessibility. We are working towards WCAG 2.0 A and AA standards for our student products.
To achieve this goal, Handshake works with Level Access, an accessibility consulting firm, on a comprehensive plan to achieve increased accessibility in the entirety of its product in 2020.
Our 2020 accessibility plan began with a complete audit of our product and includes ongoing enhancements in our development and quality assurance process.
We continue to work to get closer to compliance with each feature release, including all work around our virtual launches to ensure they meet accessibility standards. We will be considering multiple ways for students and employers to connect via video, audio, and text based chat.
